I may be spoiled from playing so many JRPGs which usually feature memorable artwork but there's no denying that the characters here are all far too static and expressionless to create a lasting impression. However, one aspect of the visuals that could have been handled better is the character portraits. In the end, it's engaging stuff that'll keep you wondering what'll happen next.īlackguards 2 certainly crafts a gorgeous world complete with detailed hub areas and intricately rendered battle maps. Her rage reminded me of Velvet from Tales of Berseria but the story here is far more twisted and dark. At this point, Cassia ruthlessly conquers areas of the world map while meeting a few allies and making decisions that often result in dastardly consequences. Eventually, she escapes and the main portion of the campaign begins. There, she's greeted by plenty of spiders that she's initially scared of but after one continuously bites her in her sleep, she begins to go insane and befriends the spider as its poison slowly alters both her appearance and mental stability. Basically, you play as a woman named Cassia who is thrown into an underground dungeon. Therefore, the fact that the plot of Blackguards 2 had me engaged from start to finish is a substantial achievement. why not just "gold"?Īfter playing so many RPGs, it takes a lot for a story to get my attention. Unleashing a variety of magic spells and attacks in order to thin out the horde of enemies is super-satisfying as the gameplay is tight, intuitive, and gets very challenging. Anyway, the battles have various win and lose conditions so you'll sometimes need to run for your life while other times, you'll have to defeat every single foe. I found that this opened up the movement options and made it feel more like Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits as opposed to more classic games in the genre such as Vandal Hearts. One of its most unique elements is that you move your party members through the battlefields via hexagons as opposed to squares. If you've ever played a turn-based strategy RPG then Blackguards 2 will be a very familiar experience. It's strange when the sequel arrives first but after playing Blackguards 2, I can easily say that I'm impressed and looking forward to trying out the original. Unfortunately, console-only gamers haven't had the opportunity to enjoy the first game yet although Blackguards: Definitive Edition is on its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime down the road. □ Looks like someone already destroyed the place before we showed upīlackguards 2 is the sequel to The Dark Eye: Blackguards. │ Nothing causes more disappointment than hype so at Video Chums, we avoid hyping games prior to playing them for ourselves. Blackguards 2 features epic battles in an undeniably old-school world but is it adapted well from the PC version? Maciejewski playing a PS4 on September 22, 2017īlackguards 2 is also available for Xbox One and Nintendo SwitchĪfter being out for a couple years on PC, Daedalic Entertainment's latest turn-based strategy RPG is finally available for consoles. Don't just do the exact same thing over and over again and expect different results, mix things up a little, you may be surprized by the results, a previously impossible mission may suddenly be easy simple just by tweeking your strategy.Reviewed by A.J. There are many other great spells and abilities, it is not just only about how much damage you can do. Arcane wall can be used block an enemy entry path, or you can just use a few mercs and keep them healed. Against mages, I find frenzy is wonderful and you only need level 1 in it. For example, against tree and insect creatures fire is great, even better if there is swamp gass around (bubbling pools). This may sound simple but many people don't consider it. Third hint, different spells and abilities have different uses. The second biggest hint is USE THE ENVIRONMENT, typically there are MUCH EASIER way to kill most enemies than just hacking away at them. 90% of the threads about "impossible" maps are because the OP is trying to just kill everything. The BIGGEST HINT that I can offer to anyone having troubles with ANY of the maps is to READ the victory conditions.

Super emolliant- great for aging eyes/dry under eyes. It’s waterproof as well, making it a great pick for humid days or workouts.Next » Fairly Light NeutralTarte's best concealer imo. Just add a little eye cream underneath to prevent it from drying out.īenefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer: Benefit's Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($24) is a silicone-based concealer that glides onto the skin like a dream. Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Under-Eye Concealer: Those with untreatable dark circles will find some relief in Maybelline's Super Stay Full Coverage Under-Eye Concealer ($12). The coverage is bulletproof and it wears really well, too. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: The Radiant Creamy Concealer ($30) from Nars is slightly more matte than the Tarte, making it amazing for oilier skin types or covering breakouts. It also lasts forever-I’ve had mine three months now, and I’ve barely made a dent. I’d rather spend $8 more on a concealer that delivers than less on a subpar option. The coverage is great too-I’d say medium to full and enough to cover pigmentation, scarring, and redness.Īt $26, I think this concealer is reasonably priced, given the efficacy. As mentioned above, this is quite a moisturizing formula, so I was worried it would move around the oiler parts of my face, but in actual fact, it wore really well. On the rest of the face: For my general complexion, I like a concealer with a little bit of grip so it doesn’t wear off. I went for a slightly peachy shade and it did a stellar job. My one piece of advice would be to pick a shade that counteracts that blue or purple hue. It provides ample coverage, looks like skin, and didn’t settle or crease at all (!!!). Don’t get me wrong, I have my favorites, but I had previously resigned to the fact that all coverage products creased under the eye to some extent. Given my profession, I try a lot of concealers. Under the eyes: In a word, I'm speechless. No concealer under the left eye concealer under the right eye.įor the purpose of this review, I’m going to break this up into two parts: under the eyes, and on the rest of the face. How To Apply: A little bit goes a long way It feels quite emollient and glides over the skin easily (there’s no drag like other concealers), thus making it less likely to crease or settle in fine lines. It contains maracuja (the oil from a passionfruit seed) to firm and hydrate the skin, as well as vitamin c and e for antioxidant protection. The texture of this is almost like a thick eye cream, which is definitely part of the appeal. As a beauty enthusiast, I often reach for concealer to brighten things up, but all too often it creases, exacerbating the original issue. Hence why the Tarte Creaseless Concealer feels like a very welcome (and exciting) addition to my routine. I also suffer from what I would call mid-tier under eye circles: They’re not terrible, but they exist. My skin is pretty good to me most of the time, but it’s certainly not opposed to breaking out/redness/looking generally tired and dull. About My Skin: Sometimes dull, with undereye circles Every product is packed with naturally derived ingredients and is always formulated without parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, and gluten. Today, the brand offers cruelty-free cosmetics and hypoallergenic, vegan skincare. Keep scrolling for my thoughts.īest for: Concealing dark circles, redness, pigmentation, blemishes, and tattoos.Ībout the brand: Tarte started in 2000, with the idea to combine glamorous makeup with good-for-you ingredients. But is this the unicorn? The one outlier of the concealer universe? Potentially. I am very wary of concealers that claim not to crease (IMHO they almost always do). It’s got all the coverage power, but with a super emollient base so as to not crease under the eyes. Think of it as Shape Tape’s creamy younger sister. Tarte is a brand that’s got a pretty great rep in regards to concealer (makeup aficionados will be familiar with the brand's legendary Shape Tape), so my expectations were high when a tube of the brand’s Creaseless Concealer landed in my hot little hands. Basically, it’s a tough product to get right. Matte enough to stay in place, but radiant enough to look natural. It has to be pigmented but creamy, long-wearing but not chalky. It’s what I would describe as a functional product, so there's very little room for error. In the land of makeup, concealer has an extremely tough gig. Keep reading for our full product review. The payout: correctly guess the winner of each of the tournament’s 63 games and win $1 billion. For HBO’s most popular series, Game of Thrones, the now-beloved opening credits change slightly from episode to episode, focusing in on different parts of the map of Westeros depending on where the drama will be happening. They are also now seen as a way to enhance the drama. For Netflix drama Orange is the New Black, Regina Spektor recorded the original track You’ve Got Time, while for The Affair, Grammy award-winning Fiona Apple wrote a new song, Container. As well as Zimmer’s original score for The Crown, Leonard Cohen re-recorded his track Nevermind especially for the season two True Detective opening titles. The wealth of talent willing to lend their names to these sequences is also a testament to their quality. In an age of Amazon and Netflix, where streaming platforms are unconstrained by time or commercial demands, “There’s so much enthusiasm these days for us to come up with the most bizarre and visually distinctive ideas,” added Clair. However, Clair said television executives had increasingly realised how these titles could become key to drawing people into a series, giving shows a “distinctive visual identity”, and were willing to invest months of time and millions of pounds in these one-minute sequences. In previous years, when networks had been keen to optimise time for adverts, opening sequences had become truncated to as little as 10 seconds. We are really encouraged to push our concept as far as we can and to really come up with something that is as original and creative as we can make it.” “They’ve become something where showrunners these days really feel emboldened to take creative risks. “I think what we are seeing now is the latest wave in something that originated at the turn of the century, when American networks like HBO were trying to make television something it hadn’t been before, that was a little bit more elevated, which extended to the title sequences,” he said. It was Clair who created the polluted, sepia-tinted titles of True Detective that became as much of a talking point as the show itself, Clair who directed the James Bond-esque sequence of jewels and missiles for The Night Manager, and Clair who oversaw the haunting, milky skeleton that opens up HBO’s recent acclaimed sci-fi series Westworld.Ĭlair said that as budgets and ambition for television shows now matched films, and as the boundaries between the two forms had “disappeared almost entirely”, networks were willing to invest in opening sequences that rivalled those seen in cinemas. The titles were the work of Patrick Clair, the director who over the past few years has been redefining how the television industry approaches the much-maligned opening sequence. The Crown, Netflix’s new $100m drama, launched last week. Walmart, which was founded in Arkansas by Sam Walton and his brother in 1962, did not start selling groceries until it opened its first jumbo-sized superstore in 1988 in Missouri. The group called on the Federal Trade Commission to review the 203 markets where Walmart controls 50% or more of grocery sales, and, “in as many as is feasible, compel the retailer to divest stores.” The retailer can raise prices, cut services or take products off the shelves without risk of losing customers. Still, Walmart’s grocery dominance in some areas allows it to “manipulate food producers,” including farmers and processors, Mitchell argued. In response to stiff competition, Walmart has added more than 2,000 grocery pickup locations from stores same-day home delivery options and it’s trying to prepare for the future of grocery shopping with delivery into customers’ refrigerators while they’re away from home. “I never underestimate them,” Walmart US chief Greg Foran said of Aldi at a retail industry conference in March. Aldi plans to expand to 2,500 stores in America by the end of 2022, up from around 1,900 today, and it’s trying to undercut Walmart’s low prices. Walmart has opened more than 300 stores in so-called “food deserts” - urban and rural areas where other stores have not gone as part of an initiative the retailer rolled out in 2011.īut growing pressure from rivals such as Amazon Walmart sold $184 billion worth of groceries in the United States last year, more than half of the company’s US revenue. Today, Walmart has more than 4,700 US stores and groceries are its biggest business. “We continue to grow share in grocery, and a lot of that is coming from things that we can do that competitors are going to struggle to do,” Walmart CFO and executive vice president Brett Biggs said at an analyst conference last month. The company views its strength in groceries as a key advantage, giving it a leg up on competitors, including Amazon. Walmart said it wouldn’t address the group’s specific claims, but a spokesman offered this statement on the report: “This flawed report ignores the fact that millions of Americans are able to enjoy access to quality fresh food at affordable prices because of Walmart,” said Randy Hargrove. “No other corporation in history has ever amassed this degree of control over the US food system,” said Mitchell, the author of the report. In 38 of these regions, Walmart’s share of the grocery market is 70% or higher, the group says. In 43 US metropolitan areas and 160 smaller American markets, Walmart controls 50% or more of grocery sales, according to the report. Many sites will promise millions of site visits for very cheap, but this traffic does nothing more than appear in your Google Analytics as a single, low quality visit. If there are random dips or spikes it may raise a red flag on the nature of the trafic. Reliable - The traffic should be consistent. Most of the traffic bots on the market will outsource your traffic to random countries where it is much cheaper but it won't help your strategy. Localized - The traffic should actually from the areas that you operate business, otherwise it won't be as helpful. A lot of traffic bots out there use cheap proxies. Residential - The traffic should come from real, residential internet networks. The longer it looks like someone is on your site, the more useful it is as a signal to the search engine that your content is good. Here the most important things to pay attention to when it comes to buying organic, and authentic traffic: Dwell Time - The traffic shouldn't bounce immediately from your product or site, or it will be useless. Not all traffic bots are built the same and some don't offer the features you should look for. This means that the bot should be able to generate a high volume of traffic without raising any red flags. This is because they mimic human behavior, which is very difficult for web servers to detect. One of the most important factors that make a good traffic bot is its ability to generate traffic that looks natural. The reason why traffic bots are so effective is because they are able to generate a large amount of traffic without being detected as bots. SearchSEO indexes a website in a genuine way by making use of residential IPs while Sparktraffic uses fake IPs to grab fake traffic which is easy to detect and can sometimes even penalize your site What makes a good Traffic Bot? All the real visits are recorded in Google search console in the case of SearchSEO while other services only promise traffic in google analytics which is relatively meaningless. SearchSEO amplifies CTR of keywords as it helps in generating traffic organically using real IPs from residential networks only. Below are some reasons why lower volume, high quality SERP traffic is better than generic traffic: - SearchSEO generates real visits to boost SEO ranking while most bots can have an unfavorable effect on your website as it is a fake website traffic generator that usually just spoofs the Google analytics results. On the other hand, more simpler or generic services like Sparktraffic are automated traffic bots by which fake website traffic is produced and thus can even have a negative impact on your website rank. SearchSEO is an authentic organic traffic generator that initiates real organic clicks that can be fruitful for your website ranking as it involves actually clicking on your search result, thus improving your CTR or click-through rate. Simple Bots vs CTR Traffic BotsĪ simple traffic bot won't really accomplish anything for your business or revenue. Otherwise, let's move on and discuss the advantages of using a Traffic Bot and what you should pay attention to when choosing your service. You can learn more about other types of traffic bots, if you're interested. By leveraging Social Traffic Bot you can drive a huge amount of traffic, likes, followers, and re-share as well. Some of them include: SEO traffic Bot: This type of bot helps to index all your web pages including search engines, directories, and hybrid search engines. There are wide ranges of good bots that bring results for your website. The best part of an automated traffic bot is, it saves human efforts and manual work. There are many different types of traffic bots available, but the most popular ones are the ones that simulate human behavior to manipulate analytics and metrics. Traffic bots are used by webmasters and online marketers to increase the visibility of their websites and to generate more leads and sales. Teens aren't just tapping ooVoo to chat face-to-face when they can't be together in person. Some of those experiences are surprisingly creative. "We're enhancing experiences our users have already discovered and taking them back into ooVoo," Jackman explains. Those features will launch later this year. The service's next features, which will focus on content-sharing and making video chats more social experiences, were based on feedback from teen users, according to Jackman. The company has a closed group on Facebook that it regularly polls for ideas. "We want to be at the forefront of how people are connecting with each other," said Robert Jackman, ooVoo's executive chairman, in an interview. But while the company concedes young people aren't likely to upgrade to its premium service, it is proud of its teen cult status. Oovoo does not disclose its financials or the percentage of its users that pay for its service and may not yet be profitable. Skype, which was recently acquired by Microsoft, and Apple might point out that hosting free, multi-party, multi-device video chats isn't likely to generate profits. Monthly rates range from $4.49 to $8.99, depending on subscription length.) (The daily rate for Skype Premium is $4.99. Skype supports group video calls but charges for the feature. Oovoo operates on the freemium model, offering a free, ad-supported service as well as more feature-rich, ad-free services that range from $9.95 to $29.95 a month. The other important factor for teens like De Luca is that they can use ooVoo without paying anything. De Luca says her mother "approves of" ooVoo.) "Oovoo feels more secure." (The setup helps win parental permission, too. Among her friends, Skype gets likened to the no-longer-cool social networking site MySpace.ĭe Luca also sees ooVoo as a safer environment than Skype since people need to be on an approved "contact list" to communicate with each other. "On Facebook, everyone says, 'What's your oovoo ?'” De Luca reports. Skype, she says, seems to cater to an older audience and business users. Oovoo is "newer and fresher," she contends. Similarly, though Skype is the world's biggest video chat provider, De Luca favors oovoo. Oovoo works on Macs, PCs, iPhones and Android phones. As a Mac and iPad user, De Luca occasionally uses Apple's FaceTime software for video calls but says she doesn't like how FaceTime limits chats to one other participant and to Apple devices. This feature is key for De Luca, who typically chats with two or three other friends at once. The company routes video calls through the cloud using a server, which it says allows it to conserve bandwidth and adjust the video to fit different devices, whether over Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G. Oovoo calls can support up to 12 participants on a paid subscription and up to 6 participants for free. The ooVoo logo was designed to look like two sets of eyes peering at each other. |
